Description: The Schmidt Museum of Coca-Cola Memorabilia is a private
not-for-profit organization operated by the independently owned Elizabethtown
Coca-Cola Bottling Company. The majority of the collection encompasses the
112-year history of domestic Coca-Cola production, advertising, delivering and
vending. Other research fields include collecting, auxiliary products of
The Coca-Cola Company and imitations of the product. The corporate
archives of the Elizabethtown plant and international advertising items are also
held within the collection. The organization welcomes inquiries concerning
all aspects of the product and company of Coca-Cola. The collection and

Description: The Consumers Gas archives collection documents a significant
aspect of the industrial development and the operation of gas services and
natural gas distribution in much of southern Ontario, eastern Ontario, and
northern New York State. The records contribute not only to an understanding of
the manufacturing, marketing, and other business operations of the company, but
records significant elements of provincial and economic life (e.g. evolution of
domestic and commercial gas appliances, work in the home, labour relations, and
local gas exploration). The Consumers Gas archives acquires and preserves
records of permanent and enduring value, in all formats, in order to maintain an
active archival resource primarily for the use of senior management and
employees of the company. The archives also serves to assist outside researchers
with regard to the history of Consumers Gas and the Canadian gas industry.
